Rescan to a Dell EMC VNX as target may cause unchanged files to be synchronized again

Problem

When synchronizing files to a EMC VNX and you perform a rescan, unchanged files are synchronized again.

Cause

The milliseconds are off when performing a file comparison during scan.

Solution

  1. Open PSProfiler.

  2. Add the Precision Comparison Argument /QF+ to the command line arguments.  This argument will ignores the milliseconds from both the source and target file time stamps during comparison.

  3. Save the changes.

  4. Restart PeerSync.
