When do files get deleted during a bi-directional scan?
To be able to delete files during a bi-directional scan, you must have the following configuration option enabled in the Profiler:
PeerSync Global Settings -> Global Bi-directional Options -> Use enhanced bi-directional synchronization mode options
When this setting is configured, a file will qualify for deletion during the scan by passing the following criteria:
- The attribute archive bit must be off.
- The Modifed Date, Creation Date, and Accessed Date are all older than the Last Run Date.
If this criteria is not met, then the file will be added back to the corresponding location.
Note that the Last Run Date is updated only when there are no errors during a scan.
