Move a PeerSync configuration to a new server

You can download PeerSync from the Product Updates page.  Be sure to download:

  • The UAC version for Windows 2008 servers and newer.

  • The non-UAC version for Windows 2003 and older.

Step-by-step guide

To move your configuration and job settings to the new server:

  1. Copy your profile (.snc file, located in the Profiles subfolder of the PeerSync installation directory by default) and PsDef.cfg file (located in the root of the PeerSync installation directory) to the new server after installing PeerSync.

  2. You can then open the profile from the new installation of PeerSync which will contain all of your existing job settings.

Verify your jobs' source and target paths to make sure they are accessible from the new server location.
